EDC Wars: Compact or Subcompact?

I wanted to take a quick moment to talk about the variables to consider when thinking about your carry gun.

On one hand, a compact pistol can be easier to hold, easier to shoot, and has a higher capacity magazine (typically). These benefits are great.

On the other hand, a subcompact pistol can be even more concealable and still give you between six and eight rounds. One main benefit from my personal experience (carrying a Ruger LCP2) is that there are holsters that you can fit in your front pant pocket that make the print resemble a Wallet. This has been especially useful in the summertime. And, with summer months coming up… Printing can be a real big issue.

Maybe the answers to have options. I typically carry a full size VP9 in the winter. Either way, there’s a lot to consider when selecting the right carry pistol.
